RE: Phantom object in Modeler (ie black dot in an empty Modeler layer)
Be thankful that black dot is there. It's telling you that you have
something in that layer. If you can't see it, you have (perhgaps
inadvertatnly) hidden it using the Hide commands in the display menu.
Hidden items will not be affected by modifications, but they are a part
of the object and will be saved when you save that layer.
